About Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon

Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon is a Synchro Monster, summoned from the Extra Deck with a Tuner and other monsters whose Levels add up to its own, printed as RA02-EN030 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II (2024) as a Quarter Century Secret Rare. It is a Level 9 LIGHT Dragon monster with 2,500 ATK and 3,000 DEF. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II followed in 2024 with another list of tournament staples, again with every card in several rarities. Ungraded, this printing ranks 13th of the 564 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II cards we track. The top card is Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon at €98.17.

Character and collecting appeal

Cards named Blue-Eyes belong to Seto Kaiba's family of dragons, one of the most collected lines in the game. Its effect centres on negating cards and effects, Special Summoning and destroying cards.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN030. RA02-EN030 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Quarter Century Secret Rare version. Quarter Century Secret Rares were introduced for the game's 25th anniversary. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon: RA02-EN030 Collector's Rare (€4.39), RA02-EN030 Platinum Secret Rare (€5.83), RA02-EN030 Secret Rare (€2.04), RA02-EN030 Super Rare (€2.20), RA02-EN030 Ultimate Rare (€2.61) and RA02-EN030 Ultra Rare (€2.25). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

Over the last 12 months ungraded copies are down 12%, and down 7% in the last month. Its highest monthly ungraded value was €48.45 in January 2025, 60% above today. PSA 10 copies have moved up 29% over the same 12 months. Of the 7 printings of Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon we track, this is the most valuable ungraded. The cheapest is 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II RA02-EN030 Secret Rare at €2.04.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 6.4× the ungraded price and 2.4× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its January 2025 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (35 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 12% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €19.62 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €53.53. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN030 and the Quarter Century Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
