About Search Cards
Meet Professor Cardwell – Your Pokémon Card Research Professor
Welcome, Trainers!
I'm Professor Cardwell, the resident Pokémon card researcher here at SearchCards.co.
My fascination with Pokémon began with the original 151, when opening a booster pack felt like discovering an entirely new world. From the excitement of finding a holographic Charizard to the thrill of completing a childhood collection, I've always believed every Pokémon card has a story worth discovering.
These days, my mission is to help fellow collectors explore the fascinating world of Pokémon trading cards. Whether you're researching a vintage Base Set treasure, comparing PSA-graded cards, or hunting for your next bargain, SearchCards is here to make your collecting journey easier.
At SearchCards, we believe that knowledge is every collector's greatest tool. That's why we're building a place where Trainers can research card values, explore market trends, compare listings and make more informed collecting decisions.
Every great collection begins with a little curiosity. So grab your Pokédex, explore the cards, and let the research begin!

Who runs SearchCards
SearchCards.co is an independent website run by a small team of Pokémon card enthusiasts and collectors in the United Kingdom. We built it because we wanted one place to check what cards actually sell for, at every grade, before buying, selling or grading.
We aren't a shop, an auction house or a grading company, and we don't buy or sell cards ourselves. Our job is to show the numbers clearly so you can make your own decisions.
Where our prices come from
- Card values are based on completed sales tracked by PriceCharting, for ungraded copies and each grade, converted from US dollars to euros.
- Yu-Gi-Oh! card details (names, card text, rarities and images) for our Yu-Gi-Oh! price guide come from YGOPRODeck; the images are stored on our own servers. Yu-Gi-Oh! is a trademark of Konami, and Search Cards is not affiliated with Konami.
- Sealed product prices (booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, bundles and packs) are live eBay Buy It Now listings from eBay.de, eBay.co.uk and eBay.com, checked daily and converted to euros at the European Central Bank rate.
- Grading populations come from PSA population reports, showing how many copies of a card have been graded at each grade.
- Collector guides on card and set pages, and our blog, are written for education and checked against these numbers.
Every price on the site is a guide, not an offer. Markets move quickly, so always check recent sales before you buy or sell. If you spot a price that looks wrong, please let us know.
How we make money
Some links to eBay are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes the prices we show or how we rank listings. Read our full affiliate disclosure.
