About Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon

Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon is a Synchro Monster, summoned from the Extra Deck with a Tuner and other monsters whose Levels add up to its own, printed as RA02-EN030 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II (2024) as an Ultimate Rare. It is a Level 9 LIGHT Dragon monster with 2,500 ATK and 3,000 DEF. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II followed in 2024 with another list of tournament staples, again with every card in several rarities. Ungraded, this printing ranks 128th of the 564 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II cards we track. The top card is Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon at €98.17.

Character and collecting appeal

Cards named Blue-Eyes belong to Seto Kaiba's family of dragons, one of the most collected lines in the game. In play, it is a card for negating cards and effects, Special Summoning and destroying cards.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN030. RA02-EN030 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Ultimate Rare version. Ultimate Rares have embossed artwork, borders and card name. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon: RA02-EN030 Collector's Rare (€4.39), RA02-EN030 Platinum Secret Rare (€5.83), RA02-EN030 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€19.63), RA02-EN030 Secret Rare (€2.04), RA02-EN030 Super Rare (€2.20) and RA02-EN030 Ultra Rare (€2.25). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

The most valuable is 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II RA02-EN030 Quarter Century Secret Rare at €19.63.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 23× the ungraded price and 4.6× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Even pack-fresh modern cards can have surface scratches or curling foil, so a 10 is never guaranteed.

Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its March 2025 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (31 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 42% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €2.60 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €12.94. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN030 and the Ultimate Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
