About T.G. Hyper Librarian
T.G. Hyper Librarian is a Synchro Monster, summoned from the Extra Deck with a Tuner and other monsters whose Levels add up to its own, printed as RA02-EN027 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II (2024) as a Secret Rare. It is a Level 5 DARK Spellcaster monster with 2,400 ATK and 1,800 DEF. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II followed in 2024 with another list of tournament staples, again with every card in several rarities. Ungraded, this printing ranks 524th of the 564 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II cards we track. The top card is Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon at €98.17.
Character and collecting appeal
Spellcasters have been popular since Dark Magician, and the Type has some of the most sought-after artwork in the game. Its effect centres on drawing cards.
Version and identification
Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN027. RA02-EN027 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Secret Rare version. Secret Rares have a rainbow-foil name and diagonal holographic artwork. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of T.G. Hyper Librarian: RA02-EN027 Collector's Rare (€1.20), RA02-EN027 Platinum Secret Rare (€0.65), RA02-EN027 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€6.15), RA02-EN027 Super Rare (€0.34), RA02-EN027 Ultimate Rare (€0.39) and RA02-EN027 Ultra Rare (€1.26). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.
Price history
Today an ungraded copy of this printing sells for about €0.31, a PSA 9 for €5.35 and a PSA 10 for €53.50. Our monthly prices for it go back to May 2024. Over the last 12 months ungraded copies are down 75%, and down 42% in the last month. Its highest monthly ungraded value was €1.74 in June 2024, 82% above today. PSA 10 copies have moved sideways over the same 12 months. Of the 7 printings of T.G. Hyper Librarian we track, this one ranks 7th by ungraded value. The most valuable is 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II RA02-EN027 Quarter Century Secret Rare at €6.15.
Grading and population
A PSA 10 sells for 172.6× the ungraded price and 10× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.
Investment potential
In its favour: a price well below its June 2024 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (26 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 75% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.
Before you buy
Expect to pay around €0.31 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €5.35. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN027 and the Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
