About T.G. Hyper Librarian
T.G. Hyper Librarian is a Synchro Monster, summoned from the Extra Deck with a Tuner and other monsters whose Levels add up to its own, printed as RA02-EN027 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II (2024) as a Quarter Century Secret Rare. It is a Level 5 DARK Spellcaster monster with 2,400 ATK and 1,800 DEF. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II followed in 2024 with another list of tournament staples, again with every card in several rarities. Ungraded, this printing ranks 50th of the 564 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II cards we track. The top card is Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon at €98.17.
Character and collecting appeal
Spellcasters have been popular since Dark Magician, and the Type has some of the most sought-after artwork in the game. Its effect centres on drawing cards.
Version and identification
Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN027. RA02-EN027 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Quarter Century Secret Rare version. Quarter Century Secret Rares were introduced for the game's 25th anniversary. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of T.G. Hyper Librarian: RA02-EN027 Collector's Rare (€1.20), RA02-EN027 Platinum Secret Rare (€0.65), RA02-EN027 Secret Rare (€0.27), RA02-EN027 Super Rare (€0.34), RA02-EN027 Ultimate Rare (€0.39) and RA02-EN027 Ultra Rare (€1.26). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.
Price history

Over the last 12 months ungraded copies are up 28%, and up 2% in the last month. The current price is its high point on our records. PSA 10 copies have moved up 8% over the same 12 months. Of the 7 printings of T.G. Hyper Librarian we track, this is the most valuable ungraded. The cheapest is 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II RA02-EN027 Secret Rare at €0.27.
Grading and population
A PSA 10 sells for 9.9× the ungraded price and 2× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.
Investment potential
In its favour: steady demand, with ungraded prices up 28% in a year; an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.
Before you buy
Expect to pay around €6.14 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €30.14. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN027 and the Quarter Century Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
