Character and collecting appeal
Dragons are the most collected monster Type in Yu-Gi-Oh!, largely thanks to Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes. Its effect centres on negating cards and effects, banishing cards and Special Summoning. It has a Quick Effect, so it can also be used during the opponent's turn.
Version and identification
Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN019. RA02-EN019 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Ultimate Rare version. Ultimate Rares have embossed artwork, borders and card name. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 7 other printings of Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended: RA02-EN019 Collector's Rare (€1.66), RA02-EN019 Misprint (€13.83), RA02-EN019 Platinum Secret Rare (€0.37), RA02-EN019 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€2.68), RA02-EN019 Secret Rare (€0.21) and RA02-EN019 Super Rare (€0.35), and more. Grading and population
A PSA 10 sells for 87× the ungraded price and 5.4× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.
Investment potential
In its favour: a price well below its June 2024 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 80% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.
Before you buy
Expect to pay around €0.33 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €5.35. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN019 and the Ultimate Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
