Character and collecting appeal

Dragons are the most collected monster Type in Yu-Gi-Oh!, largely thanks to Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes. Its text is about negating cards and effects, banishing cards and Special Summoning. It has a Quick Effect, so it can also be used during the opponent's turn.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN019. RA02-EN019 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. This is a misprint, priced separately from correctly printed copies. Make sure the listing photos show the error. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 7 other printings of Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended: RA02-EN019 Collector's Rare (€1.66), RA02-EN019 Platinum Secret Rare (€0.37), RA02-EN019 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€2.68), RA02-EN019 Secret Rare (€0.21), RA02-EN019 Super Rare (€0.35) and RA02-EN019 Ultimate Rare (€0.33), and more. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Investment potential

Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic; thin trading, so selling quickly can mean accepting a lower price. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €13.82 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN019 clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
