About Chaos Hunter

Chaos Hunter is an Effect Monster, printed as RA02-EN007 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II (2024) as a Platinum Secret Rare. It is a Level 7 DARK Fiend monster with 2,500 ATK and 1,600 DEF. At its Level it needs two Tributes to Normal Summon. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II followed in 2024 with another list of tournament staples, again with every card in several rarities. Ungraded, this printing ranks 459th of the 564 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II cards we track. The top card is Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon at €98.17.

Character and collecting appeal

Fiends are one of the largest Types in the game, home to many of its darker and more unusual designs. In play, it is a card for banishing cards, Special Summoning and discarding.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN007. RA02-EN007 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Platinum Secret Rare version. Platinum Secret Rares are a newer Secret Rare variant with a platinum-coloured finish. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 7 other printings of Chaos Hunter: RA02-EN007 Collector's Rare (€1.34), RA02-EN007 Misprint (€23.19), RA02-EN007 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€4.44), RA02-EN007 Secret Rare (€0.34), RA02-EN007 Super Rare (€0.45) and RA02-EN007 Ultimate Rare (€0.45), and more. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 65× the ungraded price and 4.7× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Even pack-fresh modern cards can have surface scratches or curling foil, so a 10 is never guaranteed.

Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its June 2025 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 89% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €0.45 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €6.24. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN007 and the Platinum Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
