Unchained Soul of Rage [Ultimate Rare] #RA02-EN041 collector guide

About Unchained Soul of Rage

Unchained Soul of Rage is a Link Monster, summoned from the Extra Deck using other monsters as Link Material, printed as RA02-EN041 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II (2024) as an Ultimate Rare. It is a DARK Fiend monster with 1,800 ATK. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II followed in 2024 with another list of tournament staples, again with every card in several rarities. Ungraded, this printing ranks 534th of the 564 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II cards we track. The top card is Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon at €98.17.

Character and collecting appeal

Fiends are one of the largest Types in the game, home to many of its darker and more unusual designs. Its text is about Special Summoning and destroying cards. It has a Quick Effect, so it can also be used during the opponent's turn. Its once-per-turn limits are typical of modern card design.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN041. RA02-EN041 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Ultimate Rare version. Ultimate Rares have embossed artwork, borders and card name. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of Unchained Soul of Rage: RA02-EN041 Collector's Rare (€1.41), RA02-EN041 Platinum Secret Rare (€0.76), RA02-EN041 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€6.74), RA02-EN041 Secret Rare (€0.30), RA02-EN041 Super Rare (€0.26) and RA02-EN041 Ultra Rare (€0.82). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 116.5× the ungraded price and 5.2× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Even pack-fresh modern cards can have surface scratches or curling foil, so a 10 is never guaranteed.

Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its May 2024 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 86% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €0.24 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €5.35. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN041 and the Ultimate Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
