PSY-Framelord Omega [Platinum Secret Rare] #RA02-EN028 collector guide

About PSY-Framelord Omega

PSY-Framelord Omega is a Synchro Monster, summoned from the Extra Deck with a Tuner and other monsters whose Levels add up to its own, printed as RA02-EN028 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II (2024) as a Platinum Secret Rare. It is a Level 8 LIGHT Psychic monster with 2,800 ATK and 2,200 DEF. Its ATK is the 10th highest of the 45 monsters in the set. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II followed in 2024 with another list of tournament staples, again with every card in several rarities. Ungraded, this printing ranks 313th of the 564 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II cards we track. The top card is Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon at €98.17.

Character and collecting appeal

Psychics were added in the 5D's era and often trade Life Points for power. In play, it is a card for banishing cards. It has a Quick Effect, so it can also be used during the opponent's turn.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN028. RA02-EN028 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Platinum Secret Rare version. Platinum Secret Rares are a newer Secret Rare variant with a platinum-coloured finish. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of PSY-Framelord Omega: RA02-EN028 Collector's Rare (€0.94), RA02-EN028 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€6.44), RA02-EN028 Secret Rare (€0.30), RA02-EN028 Super Rare (€0.51), RA02-EN028 Ultimate Rare (€0.51) and RA02-EN028 Ultra Rare (€1.27). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

The most valuable is 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II RA02-EN028 Quarter Century Secret Rare at €6.44.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 30.4× the ungraded price and 4.6× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its November 2024 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 48% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €1.08 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €7.13. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN028 and the Platinum Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
