Version and identification
Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN056. RA02-EN056 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Secret Rare version. Secret Rares have a rainbow-foil name and diagonal holographic artwork. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of Preparation of Rites: RA02-EN056 Collector's Rare (€1.17), RA02-EN056 Platinum Secret Rare (€1.29), RA02-EN056 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€6.69), RA02-EN056 Super Rare (€0.56), RA02-EN056 Ultimate Rare (€0.51) and RA02-EN056 Ultra Rare (€1.08). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Grading and population
A PSA 10 sells for 48.7× the ungraded price and 4.8× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.
Investment potential
In its favour: a price well below its December 2024 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 30% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.
Before you buy
Expect to pay around €0.62 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €6.24. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN056 and the Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
