Masquerade the Blazing Dragon is a Fusion Monster, made from its Fusion Materials with a card such as Polymerization, printed as RA02-EN022 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II (2024) as a Quarter Century Secret Rare. It is a Level 8 DARK Fiend monster with 2,500 ATK and 2,000 DEF. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II followed in 2024 with another list of tournament staples, again with every card in several rarities. Ungraded, this printing ranks 220th of the 564 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II cards we track. The top card is Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon at €98.17.

Character and collecting appeal

Fiends are one of the largest Types in the game, home to many of its darker and more unusual designs. In play, it is a card for banishing cards and Special Summoning. It has a Quick Effect, so it can also be used during the opponent's turn. Its once-per-turn limits are typical of modern card design.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN022. RA02-EN022 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Quarter Century Secret Rare version. Quarter Century Secret Rares were introduced for the game's 25th anniversary. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of Masquerade the Blazing Dragon: RA02-EN022 Collector's Rare (€1.74), RA02-EN022 Platinum Secret Rare (€0.45), RA02-EN022 Secret Rare (€0.21), RA02-EN022 Super Rare (€0.39), RA02-EN022 Ultimate Rare (€0.40) and RA02-EN022 Ultra Rare (€1.41). Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 22.6× the ungraded price and 4× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its May 2024 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 66% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €1.58 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €8.92. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN022 and the Quarter Century Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
