Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon [Secret Rare] #RA02-EN029 collector guide

About Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon

Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon is a Synchro Monster, summoned from the Extra Deck with a Tuner and other monsters whose Levels add up to its own, printed as RA02-EN029 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II (2024) as a Secret Rare. It is a Level 8 WIND Dragon monster with 3,000 ATK and 2,500 DEF. Its ATK is the 4th highest of the 45 monsters in the set. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II followed in 2024 with another list of tournament staples, again with every card in several rarities. Ungraded, this printing ranks 382nd of the 564 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II cards we track. The top card is Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon at €98.17.

Character and collecting appeal

Dragons are the most collected monster Type in Yu-Gi-Oh!, largely thanks to Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes. In play, it is a card for negating cards and effects and destroying cards. It has a Quick Effect, so it can also be used during the opponent's turn.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN029. RA02-EN029 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Secret Rare version. Secret Rares have a rainbow-foil name and diagonal holographic artwork. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon: RA02-EN029 Collector's Rare (€1.98), RA02-EN029 Platinum Secret Rare (€1.56), RA02-EN029 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€9.47), RA02-EN029 Super Rare (€0.66), RA02-EN029 Ultimate Rare (€0.66) and RA02-EN029 Ultra Rare (€1.29). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

PSA 10 copies have moved down 13% over the same 12 months. Of the 7 printings of Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon we track, this one ranks 5th by ungraded value. The most valuable is 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II RA02-EN029 Quarter Century Secret Rare at €9.47.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 47.3× the ungraded price and 4.4× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its June 2024 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 55% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €0.67 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €7.13. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN029 and the Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
