Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA02-EN050. RA02-EN050 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Quarter Century Secret Rare version. Quarter Century Secret Rares were introduced for the game's 25th anniversary. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II has 6 other printings of Book of Moon: RA02-EN050 Collector's Rare (€2.35), RA02-EN050 Platinum Secret Rare (€3.12), RA02-EN050 Secret Rare (€0.60), RA02-EN050 Super Rare (€0.71), RA02-EN050 Ultimate Rare (€0.89) and RA02-EN050 Ultra Rare (€1.18). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly. It was also printed in Pharaonic Guardian, which we track separately.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 8.3× the ungraded price and 3× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its April 2025 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (26 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 28% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic; reprints in another set, which keep playable copies easy to find. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €9.14 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €24.98. Ask the seller to show the code RA02-EN050 and the Quarter Century Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
