Character and collecting appeal

Sky Striker is one of the most successful competitive archetypes of the late 2010s, and its cards remain popular with players. Its effect centres on Special Summoning, changing ATK and DEF and sending cards to the Graveyard.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read MAMO-EN020. MAMO-EN020 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Starlight Rare version. Starlight Rares have a sparkling holographic finish across the whole card. This is the Extended Art version, where the artwork runs past the usual frame. Magnificent Monsters has one other printing of Sky Striker Mobilize - Linkage!: MAMO-EN020 Extended Art (€66.93). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly. It was also printed in Quarter Century Bonanza, which we track separately.

Price history

Today an ungraded copy of this printing sells for about €561.75. Of the 4 printings of Sky Striker Mobilize - Linkage! we track, this is the most valuable ungraded. The cheapest is Quarter Century Bonanza RA03-EN274 Platinum Secret Rare at €4.72.

Investment potential

Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic; reprints in another set, which keep playable copies easy to find; thin trading, so selling quickly can mean accepting a lower price. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €561.75 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code MAMO-EN020 and the Starlight Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. At this price fakes are worth checking for: genuine cards have a small holographic seal (the Eye of Anubis) in the bottom-right corner, and the font, colours and card back should match a copy you know is genuine. Look up the certificate number of any graded copy on the grading company's website. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
