Character and collecting appeal

Sky Striker is one of the most successful competitive archetypes of the late 2010s, and its cards remain popular with players. In play, it is a card for Special Summoning, changing ATK and DEF and sending cards to the Graveyard.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read MAMO-EN020. MAMO-EN020 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. This is the Extended Art version, where the artwork runs past the usual frame. Magnificent Monsters has one other printing of Sky Striker Mobilize - Linkage!: MAMO-EN020 Extended Art Starlight Rare (€562.25). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly. It was also printed in Quarter Century Bonanza, which we track separately.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 7× the ungraded price and 1.5× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

In its favour: an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic; reprints in another set, which keep playable copies easy to find. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €66.87 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €315.35. Ask the seller to show the code MAMO-EN020 clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. At this price fakes are worth checking for: genuine cards have a small holographic seal (the Eye of Anubis) in the bottom-right corner, and the font, colours and card back should match a copy you know is genuine. Look up the certificate number of any graded copy on the grading company's website. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
