Character and collecting appeal

Sky Striker is one of the most successful competitive archetypes of the late 2010s, and its cards remain popular with players. Its effect centres on Special Summoning, changing ATK and DEF and sending cards to the Graveyard.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA03-EN274. RA03-EN274 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Quarter Century Secret Rare version. Quarter Century Secret Rares were introduced for the game's 25th anniversary. Quarter Century Bonanza has one other printing of Sky Striker Mobilize - Linkage!: RA03-EN274 Platinum Secret Rare (€4.72). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly. It was also printed in Magnificent Monsters, which we track separately.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 2.5× the ungraded price and 1× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Even pack-fresh modern cards can have surface scratches or curling foil, so a 10 is never guaranteed.

Investment potential

In its favour: it is the original printing, which reprints rarely replace for collectors; an active market (27 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 17% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €72.66 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €183.68. Ask the seller to show the code RA03-EN274 and the Quarter Century Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. At this price fakes are worth checking for: genuine cards have a small holographic seal (the Eye of Anubis) in the bottom-right corner, and the font, colours and card back should match a copy you know is genuine. Look up the certificate number of any graded copy on the grading company's website. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
