Dark Magical Curtain [Extended Art] #MAMO-EN003 collector guide

About Dark Magical Curtain

Dark Magical Curtain is a Quick-Play Spell Card, printed as MAMO-EN003 in Magnificent Monsters (2026). Magnificent Monsters is a 2026 set, and its highest rarities include some of the most valuable modern Yu-Gi-Oh! cards we track. Ungraded, this printing ranks 27th of the 220 Magnificent Monsters cards we track. The top card is Dark Magician, the Pharaoh's Servant at €40,161.

Character and collecting appeal

It belongs to the family of cards built around Dark Magician, Yugi Muto's favourite monster. Its text is about searching the Deck and Special Summoning. Its text names Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl, so collectors often look for them together.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read MAMO-EN003. MAMO-EN003 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. This is the Extended Art version, where the artwork runs past the usual frame. Magnificent Monsters has 3 other printings of Dark Magical Curtain: MAMO-EN003 (€6.69), MAMO-EN003 Extended Art Grand Master Rare (€11,334) and MAMO-EN003 Extended Art Starlight Rare (€748.26). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Its highest monthly ungraded value was €154.23 in September 2026, 14% above today. Of the 4 printings of Dark Magical Curtain we track, this one ranks 3rd by ungraded value. The most valuable is Magnificent Monsters MAMO-EN003 Extended Art Grand Master Rare at €11,334.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 5.7× the ungraded price and 1.2× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Even pack-fresh modern cards can have surface scratches or curling foil, so a 10 is never guaranteed.

Investment potential

In its favour: an active market (36 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €133.36 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €636.23. Ask the seller to show the code MAMO-EN003 clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. At this price fakes are worth checking for: genuine cards have a small holographic seal (the Eye of Anubis) in the bottom-right corner, and the font, colours and card back should match a copy you know is genuine. Look up the certificate number of any graded copy on the grading company's website. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
