Dark Magical Curtain [Extended Art Grand Master Rare] #MAMO-EN003 collector guide

About Dark Magical Curtain

Dark Magical Curtain is a Quick-Play Spell Card, printed as MAMO-EN003 in Magnificent Monsters (2026) as a Grand Master Rare. Magnificent Monsters is a 2026 set, and its highest rarities include some of the most valuable modern Yu-Gi-Oh! cards we track. Ungraded, this printing ranks 2nd of the 220 Magnificent Monsters cards we track, one of the chase cards of the set. The top card is Dark Magician, the Pharaoh's Servant at €40,161.

Character and collecting appeal

It belongs to the family of cards built around Dark Magician, Yugi Muto's favourite monster. Its effect centres on searching the Deck and Special Summoning. Its text names Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl, so collectors often look for them together.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read MAMO-EN003. MAMO-EN003 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Grand Master Rare version. Grand Master Rares are one of the newest and scarcest rarities in the game. This is the Extended Art version, where the artwork runs past the usual frame. Magnificent Monsters has 3 other printings of Dark Magical Curtain: MAMO-EN003 (€6.69), MAMO-EN003 Extended Art (€133.48) and MAMO-EN003 Extended Art Starlight Rare (€748.26). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

Today an ungraded copy of this printing sells for about €11,324 and a PSA 10 for €33,626. Of the 4 printings of Dark Magical Curtain we track, this is the most valuable ungraded. The cheapest is Magnificent Monsters MAMO-EN003 at €6.69.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 3× the ungraded price. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €11,324 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code MAMO-EN003 and the Grand Master Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. At this price fakes are worth checking for: genuine cards have a small holographic seal (the Eye of Anubis) in the bottom-right corner, and the font, colours and card back should match a copy you know is genuine. Look up the certificate number of any graded copy on the grading company's website. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
