About Horoscope Sorcerer, the Stargazer Magician

Horoscope Sorcerer, the Stargazer Magician is a Pendulum Monster, which can also be placed in a Pendulum Zone and used as a Spell, printed as MAMO-EN014 in Magnificent Monsters (2026) as a Starlight Rare. It is a Level 5 DARK Spellcaster monster with 1,200 ATK and 2,400 DEF. At its Level it needs one Tribute to Normal Summon. Magnificent Monsters is a 2026 set, and its highest rarities include some of the most valuable modern Yu-Gi-Oh! cards we track. Ungraded, this printing ranks 23rd of the 220 Magnificent Monsters cards we track. The top card is Dark Magician, the Pharaoh's Servant at €40,161.

Character and collecting appeal

Spellcasters have been popular since Dark Magician, and the Type has some of the most sought-after artwork in the game. In play, it is a card for negating cards and effects, searching the Deck and Special Summoning. Its once-per-turn limits are typical of modern card design.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read MAMO-EN014. MAMO-EN014 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Starlight Rare version. Starlight Rares have a sparkling holographic finish across the whole card. This is the Extended Art version, where the artwork runs past the usual frame. Magnificent Monsters has 3 other printings of Horoscope Sorcerer, the Stargazer Magician: MAMO-EN014 (€1.36), MAMO-EN014 Extended Art (€12.69) and MAMO-EN014 Extended Art Grand Master Rare. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 7.2× the ungraded price and 1.4× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Even pack-fresh modern cards can have surface scratches or curling foil, so a 10 is never guaranteed.

Investment potential

Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €156.32 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €776.90. Ask the seller to show the code MAMO-EN014 and the Starlight Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. At this price fakes are worth checking for: genuine cards have a small holographic seal (the Eye of Anubis) in the bottom-right corner, and the font, colours and card back should match a copy you know is genuine. Look up the certificate number of any graded copy on the grading company's website. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
