Astrograph Sorcerer, the Starfrost Magician [Extended Art Starlight Rare] #MAMO-EN015 collector guide

About Astrograph Sorcerer, the Starfrost Magician

Astrograph Sorcerer, the Starfrost Magician is a Pendulum Monster, which can also be placed in a Pendulum Zone and used as a Spell, printed as MAMO-EN015 in Magnificent Monsters (2026) as a Starlight Rare. It is a Level 7 DARK Spellcaster monster with 2,500 ATK and 2,000 DEF. At its Level it needs two Tributes to Normal Summon. Magnificent Monsters is a 2026 set, and its highest rarities include some of the most valuable modern Yu-Gi-Oh! cards we track. Ungraded, this printing ranks 22nd of the 220 Magnificent Monsters cards we track. The top card is Dark Magician, the Pharaoh's Servant at €40,161.

Character and collecting appeal

Spellcasters have been popular since Dark Magician, and the Type has some of the most sought-after artwork in the game. In play, it is a card for Special Summoning and destroying cards. It has a Quick Effect, so it can also be used during the opponent's turn. Its once-per-turn limits are typical of modern card design.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read MAMO-EN015. MAMO-EN015 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Starlight Rare version. Starlight Rares have a sparkling holographic finish across the whole card. This is the Extended Art version, where the artwork runs past the usual frame. Magnificent Monsters has 3 other printings of Astrograph Sorcerer, the Starfrost Magician: MAMO-EN015 (€2.78), MAMO-EN015 Extended Art (€13.79) and MAMO-EN015 Extended Art Grand Master Rare. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

Today an ungraded copy of this printing sells for about €158.44, a PSA 9 for €787.45 and a PSA 10 for €1,135. Our monthly prices for it go back to September 2026. The current price is its high point on our records. Of the 3 printings of Astrograph Sorcerer, the Starfrost Magician we track, this is the most valuable ungraded. The cheapest is Magnificent Monsters MAMO-EN015 at €2.78.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 7.2× the ungraded price and 1.4× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €158.44 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €787.45. Ask the seller to show the code MAMO-EN015 and the Starlight Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. At this price fakes are worth checking for: genuine cards have a small holographic seal (the Eye of Anubis) in the bottom-right corner, and the font, colours and card back should match a copy you know is genuine. Look up the certificate number of any graded copy on the grading company's website. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
