Character and collecting appeal

Winged Beasts include the Harpie Ladies and many early flying monsters. Its effect centres on dealing damage.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read MAMO-EN026. MAMO-EN026 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Starlight Rare version. Starlight Rares have a sparkling holographic finish across the whole card. Magnificent Monsters has 2 other printings of Assault Blackwing - Kusanagi the Gathering Storm: MAMO-EN026 (€0.96) and MAMO-EN026 Secret Rare (€1.27). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

Today an ungraded copy of this printing sells for about €29.67, a PSA 9 for €121.69 and a PSA 10 for €197.76. Our monthly prices for it go back to September 2026. The current price is its high point on our records. Of the 3 printings of Assault Blackwing - Kusanagi the Gathering Storm we track, this is the most valuable ungraded. The cheapest is Magnificent Monsters MAMO-EN026 at €0.96.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 6.7× the ungraded price and 1.6× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

In its favour: an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €29.67 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €121.69. Ask the seller to show the code MAMO-EN026 and the Starlight Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
