Character and collecting appeal

Dragons are the most collected monster Type in Yu-Gi-Oh!, largely thanks to Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes. Its effect centres on Special Summoning. It has a Quick Effect, so it can also be used during the opponent's turn. Its once-per-turn limits are typical of modern card design.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA03-EN033. RA03-EN033 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Platinum Secret Rare version. Platinum Secret Rares are a newer Secret Rare variant with a platinum-coloured finish. Quarter Century Bonanza has 6 other printings of Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon: RA03-EN033 Collector's Rare (€2.01), RA03-EN033 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€0.22), RA03-EN033 Secret Rare (€1.53), RA03-EN033 Super Rare (€0.17), RA03-EN033 Ultimate Rare (€0.18) and RA03-EN033 Ultra Rare (€0.18). Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 17.8× the ungraded price and 3.5× a PSA 9. That gap is small, so grading fees may outweigh the gain unless the card is for your own collection. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

In its favour: an active market (25 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €2.26 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €11.43. Ask the seller to show the code RA03-EN033 and the Platinum Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
