About The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams

The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams is a Normal Monster, with flavour text instead of an effect, printed as LON-EN053 in Labyrinth of Nightmare (2003) as a Common. It is a Level 4 DARK Fiend monster with 1,300 ATK and 1,800 DEF. Labyrinth of Nightmare arrived in early 2003 and is best remembered for Torrential Tribute, Magic Cylinder, Gemini Elf and Dark Necrofear.

Character and collecting appeal

Fiends are one of the largest Types in the game, home to many of its darker and more unusual designs. As a Normal Monster it is collected for its artwork and its spot in the set rather than for play.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read LON-EN053. The EN in LON-EN053 marks a later English printing, made after Konami moved every English card to EN codes. Copies with the original LON-053 code are a different printing. It is the Common version. Commons have a plain name and no foil. Labyrinth of Nightmare has 4 other printings of The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams: LON-053 (€0.37), LON-053 1st Edition (€1.12), LON-E053 and LON-E053 1st Edition. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Investment potential

In its favour: it comes from the first years of the English game, which are no longer printed. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Ask the seller to show the code LON-EN053 and the Common finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Cards from 2003 often show white wear on the back edges and corners, so ask for photos of the back before you buy.
