The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams #LON-E053 collector guide

About The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams

The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams is a Normal Monster, with flavour text instead of an effect, printed as LON-E053 in Labyrinth of Nightmare (2003) as a Common. It is a Level 4 DARK Fiend monster with 1,300 ATK and 1,800 DEF. Labyrinth of Nightmare arrived in early 2003 and is best remembered for Torrential Tribute, Magic Cylinder, Gemini Elf and Dark Necrofear.

Character and collecting appeal

Fiends are one of the largest Types in the game, home to many of its darker and more unusual designs. As a Normal Monster it is collected for its artwork and its spot in the set rather than for play.

Version and identification

This guide covers the Unlimited printing, without the "1st Edition" text below the artwork. 1st Edition copies of the same card have their own, usually higher, prices. Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read LON-E053. The E in LON-E053 marks the European English printing. The North American printing uses a code without the letter, sometimes with a different card number, and has its own prices. It is the Common version. Commons have a plain name and no foil. Labyrinth of Nightmare has 4 other printings of The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams: LON-053 (€0.37), LON-053 1st Edition (€1.12), LON-E053 1st Edition and LON-EN053. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

There are no recent sales of this printing of The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams yet, so we cannot give it a value.

Investment potential

In its favour: it comes from the first years of the English game, which are no longer printed. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Ask the seller to show the code LON-E053, the missing "1st Edition" text and the Common finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Cards from 2003 often show white wear on the back edges and corners, so ask for photos of the back before you buy.
