Surging Sparks Booster Pack guide

What's inside the Surging Sparks Booster Pack

Each Surging Sparks Booster Pack is a single foil pack of 10 cards, with at least one rare from Surging Sparks.

About Surging Sparks

A large set whose Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rare is its main chase card. Released on 8 November 2024, it belongs to the Scarlet & Violet era. Shops have mostly moved on to newer sets, so sealed stock now comes mainly from resellers.

Surging Sparks has 191 cards in its main numbering, plus 61 secret rares numbered beyond it.

The cards a Surging Sparks Booster Pack can hold

The Surging Sparks cards collectors most want to pull are Pikachu ex and Latias ex. Any one pack can hold them, but most packs will not: buying the single card is usually cheaper than opening for it.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 6 Hyper Rares, 11 Special Illustration Rares and 23 Illustration Rares. See every Surging Sparks card price for what each is worth.

Surging Sparks Booster Pack price today

Right now the cheapest Surging Sparks Booster Pack on eBay costs €15.58 including delivery to Germany, and the typical asking price across 71 listings is €26.56 (ebay.de from €18.82, ebay.co.uk from €15.58, ebay.com from €18.92).

These are live asking prices, not completed sales, so a good offer is usually close to the cheapest listing rather than the typical one.

Price per pack

At the typical price, a Surging Sparks Booster Pack costs €26.56, compared with €9.59 in a Surging Sparks Booster Box, €15.15 in a Surging Sparks Booster Bundle and €18.87 in a Surging Sparks Elite Trainer Box. That makes it the most expensive way to buy Surging Sparks packs right now, which is normal for single packs.

Surging Sparks Booster Pack as an investment

Surging Sparks is out of its main print run, the stage where sealed prices often start to move, but modern sets are printed in large numbers and can be reprinted. Single packs are the easiest to resell but also the most likely to have been searched or weighed. Much of its sealed value rests on demand for Pikachu ex and Latias ex: if those cards rise, unopened product usually follows.

Only buy a Surging Sparks Booster Pack to hold if you are happy to keep it either way, as prices can fall too. This is not financial advice; see should you buy sealed Pokémon products?

Before you buy

Check the shrink wrap: factory wrap on packs is tight and crimped evenly at both ends, and loose or glossy wrap can mean a resealed product. Avoid "weighed" or searched packs from bulk sellers: some sellers weigh packs to pull the holos out first. Always compare totals with delivery included, and keep sealed product away from sunlight, heat and damp once it arrives.
