Surging Sparks Booster Bundle guide

What's inside the Surging Sparks Booster Bundle

A Surging Sparks Booster Bundle is a shrink-wrapped pack of 6 booster packs from Surging Sparks, with no accessories.

About Surging Sparks

A large set whose Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rare is its main chase card. Released on 8 November 2024, it belongs to the Scarlet & Violet era. It is past its main print window, so sealed stock is getting harder to find at retail.

Surging Sparks has 191 cards in its main numbering, plus 61 secret rares numbered beyond it.

The cards a Surging Sparks Booster Bundle can hold

The Surging Sparks cards collectors most want to pull are Pikachu ex and Latias ex. 6 packs gives a few chances at them for less than a larger box.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 6 Hyper Rares, 11 Special Illustration Rares and 23 Illustration Rares. Prices for every card are on the Surging Sparks set page.

That makes it mid-priced among Surging Sparks sealed products.

Is the Surging Sparks Booster Bundle a good investment?

Surging Sparks is out of its main print run, the stage where sealed prices often start to move, but modern sets are printed in large numbers and can be reprinted. Bundles are newer and less collected than boxes or ETBs, so they are mostly bought to open. Watch the price of Pikachu ex, the set's headline card, since sealed Surging Sparks tends to move with it.

None of this is financial advice: sealed prices can fall as well as rise. Our guide should you buy sealed Pokémon products? weighs up both sides.

Before you buy

Look closely at the wrapping in the photos. Factory wrap on booster bundles has neat seams, often with Pokémon logos printed on it; baggy, shiny or uneven wrap is a common sign of a reseal. Some bundles are sold as loose packs in a bag, so check the photos show the factory-wrapped bundle. Compare the total with delivery, not just the price, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
