Character and collecting appeal
Sky Striker is one of the most successful competitive archetypes of the late 2010s, and its cards remain popular with players. Its effect centres on searching the Deck, Special Summoning and changing ATK and DEF.
Version and identification
Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA03-EN043. RA03-EN043 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Quarter Century Secret Rare version. Quarter Century Secret Rares were introduced for the game's 25th anniversary. This is an alternate artwork version, so compare the artwork with the photos before buying. Quarter Century Bonanza has 7 other printings of Sky Striker Ace - Shizuku: RA03-EN043 Collector's Rare (€1.21), RA03-EN043 Platinum Secret Rare (€1.95), RA03-EN043 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€7.99), RA03-EN043 Secret Rare (€1.57), RA03-EN043 Super Rare (€0.33) and RA03-EN043 Ultimate Rare (€0.33), and more. Grading and population
A PSA 10 sells for 8.6× the ungraded price. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Even pack-fresh modern cards can have surface scratches or curling foil, so a 10 is never guaranteed.
Investment potential
In its favour: a price well below its May 2025 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (29 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 80% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.
Before you buy
Expect to pay around €8.01 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code RA03-EN043 and the Quarter Century Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
