About Petit Angel

Petit Angel is a Normal Monster, with flavour text instead of an effect, printed as MRL-E114 in Magic Ruler (2002) as a Common. It is a Level 3 LIGHT Fairy monster with 600 ATK and 900 DEF. Magic Ruler was the third English booster set and brought Pegasus's Toon cards into the game. Magic Cards were later renamed Spell Cards and the set was reprinted as Spell Ruler, so Magic Ruler copies are the original printing. Ungraded, this printing ranks 90th of the 321 Magic Ruler cards we track. The top card is Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon at €223.11.

Character and collecting appeal

Fairies are known for their light, angelic artwork and for cards that protect Life Points. As a Normal Monster it is collected for its artwork and its spot in the set rather than for play. Fusionist mentions Petit Angel in its text, which keeps it relevant.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read MRL-E114. The E in MRL-E114 marks the European English printing. The North American printing uses a code without the letter, sometimes with a different card number, and has its own prices. It is the Common version. Commons have a plain name and no foil. It was also printed in Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon, which we track separately.

Price history

Today an ungraded copy of this printing sells for about €3.75. Our monthly prices for it go back to March 2025. Over the last 12 months ungraded copies are up 4%, and down 29% in the last month. Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its March 2025 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; it comes from the first years of the English game, which are no longer printed. Ask the seller to show the code MRL-E114 and the Common finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings.
