Worm Drake #LON-EN004 collector guide

About Worm Drake

Worm Drake is a Normal Monster, with flavour text instead of an effect, printed as LON-EN004 in Labyrinth of Nightmare (2003) as a Common. It is a Level 4 EARTH Reptile monster with 1,400 ATK and 1,500 DEF. Labyrinth of Nightmare arrived in early 2003 and is best remembered for Torrential Tribute, Magic Cylinder, Gemini Elf and Dark Necrofear.

Character and collecting appeal

Reptiles are a small Type that has grown with modern archetypes. With no effect, its appeal is its artwork, its stats and its place in Labyrinth of Nightmare. Humanoid Worm Drake mentions Worm Drake in its text, which keeps it relevant.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read LON-EN004. The EN in LON-EN004 marks a later English printing, made after Konami moved every English card to EN codes. Copies with the original LON-004 code are a different printing. It is the Common version. Commons have a plain name and no foil. Labyrinth of Nightmare has 4 other printings of Worm Drake: LON-004 (€0.13), LON-004 1st Edition (€0.81), LON-E004 and LON-E004 1st Edition (€3.19). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

There are no recent sales of this printing of Worm Drake yet, so we cannot give it a value.

Investment potential

In its favour: it comes from the first years of the English game, which are no longer printed. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Ask the seller to show the code LON-EN004 and the Common finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Cards from 2003 often show white wear on the back edges and corners, so ask for photos of the back before you buy.
