About Spirit of Flames

Spirit of Flames is an Effect Monster, printed as LON-E067 in Labyrinth of Nightmare (2003) as a Common. It is a Level 4 FIRE Pyro monster with 1,700 ATK and 1,000 DEF. Labyrinth of Nightmare arrived in early 2003 and is best remembered for Torrential Tribute, Magic Cylinder, Gemini Elf and Dark Necrofear.

Character and collecting appeal

Pyro monsters are fire-themed and often deal direct damage. In play, it is a card for banishing cards, Special Summoning and changing ATK and DEF. It cannot be Normal Summoned, so it has to be brought out by its own conditions.

Version and identification

This guide covers the 1st Edition printing. The words "1st Edition" are printed below the artwork on the left; copies without them are the Unlimited printing and usually sell for less. Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read LON-E067. The E in LON-E067 marks the European English printing. The North American printing uses a code without the letter, sometimes with a different card number, and has its own prices. It is the Common version. Commons have a plain name and no foil.
