Character and collecting appeal

Its text names Destiny Board, so collectors often look for them together.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read LON-EN092. The EN in LON-EN092 marks a later English printing, made after Konami moved every English card to EN codes. Copies with the original LON-092 code are a different printing. It is the Rare version. Rares have a silver-foil name and plain artwork. Labyrinth of Nightmare has 4 other printings of Spirit Message "L": LON-092 (€1.11), LON-092 1st Edition (€2.45), LON-E092 (€2.37) and LON-E092 1st Edition. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Its highest monthly ungraded value was €1.80 in September 2026, 23% above today. Of the 4 printings of Spirit Message "L" we track, this one ranks 3rd by ungraded value. The most valuable is Labyrinth of Nightmare LON-092 1st Edition at €2.45.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 65.8× the ungraded price and 10.3× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Early English Yu-Gi-Oh! cards often have off-centre cuts and wear on the dark brown back borders, which is why high grades are hard to reach.

Investment potential

In its favour: it comes from the first years of the English game, which are no longer printed. Against it: thin trading, so selling quickly can mean accepting a lower price. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €1.39 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €8.92. Ask the seller to show the code LON-EN092 and the Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Cards from 2003 often show white wear on the back edges and corners, so ask for photos of the back before you buy.
