Character and collecting appeal

Fiends are one of the largest Types in the game, home to many of its darker and more unusual designs. Its effect centres on destroying cards.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read LON-EN013. The EN in LON-EN013 marks a later English printing, made after Konami moved every English card to EN codes. Copies with the original LON-013 code are a different printing. It is the Rare version. Rares have a silver-foil name and plain artwork. Labyrinth of Nightmare has 4 other printings of Nuvia the Wicked: LON-013 (€0.58), LON-013 1st Edition (€1.90), LON-E013 (€2.30) and LON-E013 1st Edition (€2.11). Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

Today an ungraded copy of this printing sells for about €0.05. Of the 5 printings of Nuvia the Wicked we track, this one ranks 5th by ungraded value. The most valuable is Labyrinth of Nightmare LON-E013 at €2.30.

Investment potential

In its favour: it comes from the first years of the English game, which are no longer printed. Against it: thin trading, so selling quickly can mean accepting a lower price. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €0.05 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code LON-EN013 and the Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Cards from 2003 often show white wear on the back edges and corners, so ask for photos of the back before you buy.
