Jam Defender #LON-E028 collector guide

History, version, grading and market outlook for this card.

About Jam Defender

Jam Defender is a Continuous Trap Card, printed as LON-E028 in Labyrinth of Nightmare (2003) as a Short Print. Labyrinth of Nightmare arrived in early 2003 and is best remembered for Torrential Tribute, Magic Cylinder, Gemini Elf and Dark Necrofear.

Character and collecting appeal

Its text names Revival Jam, so collectors often look for them together.

Version and identification

This guide covers the Unlimited printing, without the "1st Edition" text below the artwork. 1st Edition copies of the same card have their own, usually higher, prices. Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read LON-E028. The E in LON-E028 marks the European English printing. The North American printing uses a code without the letter, sometimes with a different card number, and has its own prices. It is the Short Print version. Short Prints look like Commons but were printed in smaller numbers. Labyrinth of Nightmare has 4 other printings of Jam Defender: LON-028 (€0.80), LON-028 1st Edition (€4.22), LON-E028 1st Edition and LON-EN028. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

There are no recent sales of this printing of Jam Defender yet, so we cannot give it a value.

Investment potential

In its favour: it comes from the first years of the English game, which are no longer printed. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Ask the seller to show the code LON-E028, the missing "1st Edition" text and the Short Print finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Cards from 2003 often show white wear on the back edges and corners, so ask for photos of the back before you buy.
