About Fairy Guardian

Fairy Guardian is an Effect Monster, printed as LON-EN039 in Labyrinth of Nightmare (2003) as a Common. It is a Level 3 WIND Fairy monster with 1,000 ATK and 1,000 DEF. Labyrinth of Nightmare arrived in early 2003 and is best remembered for Torrential Tribute, Magic Cylinder, Gemini Elf and Dark Necrofear.

Character and collecting appeal

Fairies are known for their light, angelic artwork and for cards that protect Life Points.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read LON-EN039. The EN in LON-EN039 marks a later English printing, made after Konami moved every English card to EN codes. Copies with the original LON-039 code are a different printing. It is the Common version. Commons have a plain name and no foil. Labyrinth of Nightmare has 4 other printings of Fairy Guardian: LON-039 (€0.12), LON-039 1st Edition (€0.19), LON-E039 and LON-E039 1st Edition. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

There are no recent sales of this printing of Fairy Guardian yet, so we cannot give it a value.

Investment potential

In its favour: it comes from the first years of the English game, which are no longer printed. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Ask the seller to show the code LON-EN039 and the Common finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Cards from 2003 often show white wear on the back edges and corners, so ask for photos of the back before you buy.
