At its Level it needs one Tribute to Normal Summon. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection marked the game's 25th anniversary in 2023 by reprinting popular cards, each in several rarities up to the Quarter Century Secret Rare. Ungraded, this printing ranks 102nd of the 587 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection cards we track. The top card is Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion at €51.83.

Character and collecting appeal

Spellcasters have been popular since Dark Magician, and the Type has some of the most sought-after artwork in the game. In play, it is a card for searching the Deck, Special Summoning and destroying cards. Its once-per-turn limits are typical of modern card design.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA01-EN018. RA01-EN018 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. This is a misprint, priced separately from correctly printed copies. Make sure the listing photos show the error. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection has 7 other printings of Wynn the Wind Channeler: RA01-EN018 Collector's Rare (€1.47), RA01-EN018 Platinum Secret Rare (€0.33), RA01-EN018 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€2.68), RA01-EN018 Secret Rare (€0.13), RA01-EN018 Super Rare (€1.14) and RA01-EN018 Ultimate Rare (€1.72), and more. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Investment potential

In its favour: a price well below its January 2024 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover. Against it: falling prices, down 17% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic; thin trading, so selling quickly can mean accepting a lower price. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €5.66 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code RA01-EN018 clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
