Version and identification
Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA01-EN055. RA01-EN055 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. It is the Quarter Century Secret Rare version. Quarter Century Secret Rares were introduced for the game's 25th anniversary. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection has 6 other printings of Pre-Preparation of Rites: RA01-EN055 Collector's Rare (€2.74), RA01-EN055 Platinum Secret Rare (€4.59), RA01-EN055 Secret Rare (€1.97), RA01-EN055 Super Rare (€0.95), RA01-EN055 Ultimate Rare (€3.57) and RA01-EN055 Ultra Rare (€1.30). Grading and population
A PSA 10 sells for 7.3× the ungraded price and 1.4× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Even pack-fresh modern cards can have surface scratches or curling foil, so a 10 is never guaranteed.
Investment potential
In its favour: a price well below its November 2025 peak, which some collectors see as room to recover; an active market (26 recent completed sales), so it is easy to sell. Against it: falling prices, down 26% in a year; large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.
Before you buy
Expect to pay around €13.06 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €66.11. Ask the seller to show the code RA01-EN055 and the Quarter Century Secret Rare finish clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
