Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA01-EN059. RA01-EN059 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. This is a misprint, priced separately from correctly printed copies. Make sure the listing photos show the error. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection has 7 other printings of Pot of Extravagance: RA01-EN059 Collector's Rare (€4.20), RA01-EN059 Platinum Secret Rare (€1.68), RA01-EN059 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€9.60), RA01-EN059 Secret Rare (€0.62), RA01-EN059 Super Rare (€1.88) and RA01-EN059 Ultimate Rare (€3.30), and more. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Investment potential

In its favour: steady demand, with ungraded prices up 299% in a year. Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic; thin trading, so selling quickly can mean accepting a lower price. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €35.67 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code RA01-EN059 clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
