Machines range from early robots to modern archetypes, and the Type has a loyal following. Its text is about negating cards and effects and Special Summoning.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA01-EN010. RA01-EN010 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. This is a misprint, priced separately from correctly printed copies. Make sure the listing photos show the error. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection has 7 other printings of Inspector Boarder: RA01-EN010 Collector's Rare (€1.57), RA01-EN010 Platinum Secret Rare (€0.39), RA01-EN010 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€4.27), RA01-EN010 Secret Rare (€0.24), RA01-EN010 Super Rare (€1.47) and RA01-EN010 Ultimate Rare (€1.45), and more. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Investment potential

Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic; thin trading, so selling quickly can mean accepting a lower price. Past prices do not guarantee future ones. This is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €8.40 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code RA01-EN010 clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
