About Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous

Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous is an Effect Monster, printed as RA01-EN020 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection (2023). It is a Level 4 LIGHT Spellcaster monster with 1,500 ATK and 1,500 DEF. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection marked the game's 25th anniversary in 2023 by reprinting popular cards, each in several rarities up to the Quarter Century Secret Rare. Ungraded, this printing ranks 37th of the 587 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection cards we track. The top card is Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion at €51.83.

Character and collecting appeal

Spellcasters have been popular since Dark Magician, and the Type has some of the most sought-after artwork in the game. Its effect centres on searching the Deck, Special Summoning and destroying cards. Its once-per-turn limits are typical of modern card design.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA01-EN020. RA01-EN020 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. This is a misprint, priced separately from correctly printed copies. Make sure the listing photos show the error. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection has 7 other printings of Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous: RA01-EN020 Collector's Rare (€3.69), RA01-EN020 Platinum Secret Rare (€2.23), RA01-EN020 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€9.55), RA01-EN020 Secret Rare (€0.22), RA01-EN020 Super Rare (€1.20) and RA01-EN020 Ultimate Rare (€2.92), and more. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Investment potential

In its favour: steady demand, with ungraded prices up 26% in a year. Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic; thin trading, so selling quickly can mean accepting a lower price. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €14.77 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code RA01-EN020 clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
