Ancient Fairy Dragon [Misprint] #RA01-EN030

Ancient Fairy Dragon [Misprint] #RA01-EN030 collector guide

About Ancient Fairy Dragon

Ancient Fairy Dragon is a Synchro Monster, summoned from the Extra Deck with a Tuner and other monsters whose Levels add up to its own, printed as RA01-EN030 in 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection (2023). It is a Level 7 LIGHT Dragon monster with 2,100 ATK and 3,000 DEF. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection marked the game's 25th anniversary in 2023 by reprinting popular cards, each in several rarities up to the Quarter Century Secret Rare. Ungraded, this printing ranks 35th of the 587 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection cards we track. The top card is Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion at €51.83.

Character and collecting appeal

Dragons are the most collected monster Type in Yu-Gi-Oh!, largely thanks to Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes. Its effect centres on searching the Deck, Special Summoning and destroying cards. Its once-per-turn limits are typical of modern card design.

Version and identification

Check the code printed below the artwork on the right: it should read RA01-EN030. RA01-EN030 is the English printing. Other languages use their own letters in place of EN, such as DE or FR, and are priced separately. This is a misprint, priced separately from correctly printed copies. Make sure the listing photos show the error. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection has 7 other printings of Ancient Fairy Dragon: RA01-EN030 Collector's Rare (€2.60), RA01-EN030 Platinum Secret Rare (€3.31), RA01-EN030 Quarter Century Secret Rare (€13.93), RA01-EN030 Secret Rare (€0.82), RA01-EN030 Super Rare (€0.17) and RA01-EN030 Ultimate Rare (€2.22), and more. Each has its own price, so match the code, edition and rarity exactly.

Price history

Today an ungraded copy of this printing sells for about €15.10 and a PSA 10 for €222.92. Our monthly prices for it go back to February 2025. Over the last 12 months ungraded copies are up 66%, and flat in the last month. The current price is its high point on our records. Of the 8 printings of Ancient Fairy Dragon we track, this is the most valuable ungraded. The cheapest is 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection RA01-EN030 Super Rare at €0.17.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 14.8× the ungraded price. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself. Modern foils can leave the pack with scratches, print lines or a slight curl, so even fresh copies do not always reach a 10.

Investment potential

In its favour: steady demand, with ungraded prices up 66% in a year. Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic; thin trading, so selling quickly can mean accepting a lower price. Card prices can fall as well as rise, so this is not financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €15.10 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less. Ask the seller to show the code RA01-EN030 clearly in the photos, as listing titles often mix up printings. Modern foils can be scratched or curled straight from the pack, so check the surface under a light if you plan to grade.
