What's inside the Majestic Dawn Booster Pack
One sealed Majestic Dawn Booster Pack contains a random selection of 9 to 11 cards, with at least one rare, all from Majestic Dawn.
About Majestic Dawn
Introduced Leafeon and Glaceon to the card game alongside Dialga. Released on 1 May 2008, it belongs to the EX, Diamond & Pearl and HeartGold SoulSilver years, whose sealed product is now scarce. It came out 18 years ago, so most sealed stock has been opened and what is left sits with collectors.
Majestic Dawn has 100 cards in its main numbering.
What collectors open Majestic Dawn for
The Majestic Dawn cards collectors most want to pull are Leafeon LV.X and Glaceon LV.X. Any one pack can hold them, but most packs will not: buying the single card is usually cheaper than opening for it.
Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 4 LV.X, 14 Holo Rares and 20 Rares. Prices for every card are on the Majestic Dawn set page.
Majestic Dawn Booster Pack price today
There is 1 matching listing on eBay at the moment (ebay.com from €2,670). The lowest total with delivery to Germany is €2,670, against a typical asking price of €2,670.
Bear in mind these are asking prices rather than sold prices: sellers at the top of the range often accept offers or wait a long time to sell.
Is the Majestic Dawn Booster Pack a good investment?
After 18 years, sealed Majestic Dawn booster packs rarely come up, and prices tend to rise as boxes are opened and supply shrinks. Single packs are the easiest to resell but also the most likely to have been searched or weighed. Watch the price of Leafeon LV.X, the set's headline card, since sealed Majestic Dawn tends to move with it.
None of this is financial advice: sealed prices can fall as well as rise. Our guide should you buy sealed Pokémon products? weighs up both sides.
Before you buy
Look closely at the wrapping in the photos. Factory wrap on packs is tight and crimped evenly at both ends; baggy, shiny or uneven wrap is a common sign of a reseal. For a Majestic Dawn Booster Pack at around €2,670, ask the seller for photos of all sides and stick to accounts with plenty of positive feedback. Avoid "weighed" or searched packs from bulk sellers: some sellers weigh packs to pull the holos out first. For product this old, ask whether it has been checked by an authenticator: fakes and resealed vintage boxes are made to fool buyers. Compare the total with delivery, not just the price, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
