Moltres #4

Moltres #4 collector guide

About Moltres #4

Moltres is card #4 from Japanese Battle Master Terastal Charizard, a Japanese-language release, released on May 17, 2024. That places it in the Scarlet & Violet era (2023 onwards). Ungraded, it ranks 9th of the 13 Japanese Battle Master Terastal Charizard cards we track, one of the chase cards of the set. The top card is Radiant Charizard #3 at €8.79.

Character and collecting appeal

Moltres can be approached as a character collectible and as an entry in its named release. For set builders, the exact card number matters; for character collectors, it helps distinguish this version from other appearances of the same Pokémon.

Version and identification

Look for the printed number #4 and the Japanese Battle Master Terastal Charizard set symbol to confirm you have this exact card, and check the text is Japanese.

Price history

Today an ungraded Moltres #4 sells for about €2.00, a PSA 9 for €10.22 and a PSA 10 for €62.35. We have monthly prices for this card going back to August 2026. The current price is its all-time high on our records.

Grading and population

A PSA 10 sells for 31.2× the ungraded price and 6.1× a PSA 9. That gap is big enough that grading a sharp, well-centred copy can pay for itself.

Investment potential

Against it: large modern print runs, which tend to cap prices unless a card becomes iconic. Treat this as background, not a prediction or financial advice.

Before you buy

Expect to pay around €2.00 for a clean ungraded copy; played copies sell for less, and a PSA 9 costs about €10.22. Modern cards often leave the pack with print lines or surface scratches, so check the surface under a light (spotting surface scratches). Ask for clear photographs of both sides, verify the exact release and variant, and check for damage that may not appear in the listing title.
