Twilight Masquerade Booster Pack guide

What's inside the Twilight Masquerade Booster Pack

One sealed Twilight Masquerade Booster Pack contains 10 cards, with at least one rare, all from Twilight Masquerade.

About Twilight Masquerade

Built around Ogerpon and its masks, with a sought-after Greninja ex. Released on 24 May 2024, it belongs to the Scarlet & Violet era. It is past its main print window, so sealed stock is getting harder to find at retail.

Twilight Masquerade has 167 cards in its main numbering, plus 59 secret rares numbered beyond it.

The cards a Twilight Masquerade Booster Pack can hold

The Twilight Masquerade cards collectors most want to pull are Greninja ex and Teal Mask Ogerpon ex. Any one pack can hold them, but most packs will not: buying the single card is usually cheaper than opening for it.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 6 Hyper Rares, 11 Special Illustration Rares and 21 Illustration Rares. Prices for every card are on the Twilight Masquerade set page.

There are 66 matching listings on eBay at the moment (ebay.de from €13.98, ebay.co.uk from €20.22, ebay.com from €15.58). The lowest total with delivery to Germany is €13.98, against a typical asking price of €27.33.

Bear in mind these are asking prices rather than sold prices: sellers at the top of the range often accept offers or wait a long time to sell.

Price per pack

At the typical price, a Twilight Masquerade Booster Pack costs €27.33, compared with €10.93 in a Twilight Masquerade Booster Box, €16.18 in a Twilight Masquerade Elite Trainer Box and €18.26 in a Twilight Masquerade Booster Bundle. That makes it the most expensive way to buy Twilight Masquerade packs right now, which is normal for single packs.

Is the Twilight Masquerade Booster Pack a good investment?

Twilight Masquerade is out of its main print run, the stage where sealed prices often start to move, but modern sets are printed in large numbers and can be reprinted. Single packs are the easiest to resell but also the most likely to have been searched or weighed. Watch the price of Greninja ex, the set's headline card, since sealed Twilight Masquerade tends to move with it.

None of this is financial advice: sealed prices can fall as well as rise. Our guide should you buy sealed Pokémon products? weighs up both sides.

Before you buy

Look closely at the wrapping in the photos. Factory wrap on packs is tight and crimped evenly at both ends; baggy, shiny or uneven wrap is a common sign of a reseal. Avoid "weighed" or searched packs from bulk sellers: some sellers weigh packs to pull the holos out first. Compare the total with delivery, not just the price, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
