Scarlet & Violet 151 Booster Pack

Scarlet & Violet 151 Booster Pack guide

What's inside the Scarlet & Violet 151 Booster Pack

One sealed Scarlet & Violet 151 Booster Pack contains 10 cards, with at least one rare, all from Scarlet & Violet 151.

Scarlet & Violet 151 is a special set, so its packs were mostly sold inside Elite Trainer Boxes, bundles and collections rather than from a booster box, and loose packs are usually taken from those.

About Scarlet & Violet 151

A special set covering the original 151 Kanto Pokémon, with no booster box in English. Its Charizard ex and Mew ex are among the most valued modern cards. Released on 22 September 2023, it belongs to the Scarlet & Violet era. It is past its main print window, so sealed stock is getting harder to find at retail.

Scarlet & Violet 151 has 165 cards in its main numbering, plus 42 secret rares numbered beyond it.

What collectors open Scarlet & Violet 151 for

The Scarlet & Violet 151 cards collectors most want to pull are Charizard ex, Mew ex, Erika's Invitation, Venusaur ex and Blastoise ex. Any one pack can hold them, but most packs will not: buying the single card is usually cheaper than opening for it.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 3 Hyper Rares, 7 Special Illustration Rares and 16 Illustration Rares. Prices for every card are on the Scarlet & Violet 151 set page.

Price per pack

At the typical price, a Scarlet & Violet 151 Booster Pack costs €50.15, compared with €33.73 in a Scarlet & Violet 151 Booster Bundle and €65.35 in a Scarlet & Violet 151 Elite Trainer Box. That makes it mid-priced among Scarlet & Violet 151 sealed products.

Is the Scarlet & Violet 151 Booster Pack a good investment?

Scarlet & Violet 151 is out of its main print run, the stage where sealed prices often start to move, but modern sets are printed in large numbers and can be reprinted. Single packs are the easiest to resell but also the most likely to have been searched or weighed. Watch the price of Charizard ex, the set's headline card, since sealed Scarlet & Violet 151 tends to move with it.

Past prices do not guarantee future ones, and this is not financial advice. Read should you buy sealed Pokémon products? for the pros and cons.

Before you buy

Look closely at the wrapping in the photos. Factory wrap on packs is tight and crimped evenly at both ends; baggy, shiny or uneven wrap is a common sign of a reseal. Avoid "weighed" or searched packs from bulk sellers: some sellers weigh packs to pull the holos out first. Check whether delivery from ebay.de adds import fees, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
