About Scarlet & Violet 151

A special set covering the original 151 Kanto Pokémon, with no booster box in English. Its Charizard ex and Mew ex are among the most valued modern cards. Released on 22 September 2023, it belongs to the Scarlet & Violet era. Shops have mostly moved on to newer sets, so sealed stock now comes mainly from resellers.

Scarlet & Violet 151 has 165 cards in its main numbering, plus 42 secret rares numbered beyond it.

The cards a Scarlet & Violet 151 Booster Bundle can hold

The Scarlet & Violet 151 cards collectors most want to pull are Charizard ex, Mew ex, Erika's Invitation, Venusaur ex and Blastoise ex. 6 packs gives a few chances at them for less than a larger box.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 3 Hyper Rares, 7 Special Illustration Rares and 16 Illustration Rares. See every Scarlet & Violet 151 card price for what each is worth.

Scarlet & Violet 151 Booster Bundle as an investment

Scarlet & Violet 151 is out of its main print run, the stage where sealed prices often start to move, but modern sets are printed in large numbers and can be reprinted. Bundles are newer and less collected than boxes or ETBs, so they are mostly bought to open. Much of its sealed value rests on demand for Charizard ex and Mew ex: if those cards rise, unopened product usually follows.

Past prices do not guarantee future ones, and this is not financial advice. Read should you buy sealed Pokémon products? for the pros and cons.

Before you buy

Check the shrink wrap: factory wrap on booster bundles has neat seams, often with Pokémon logos printed on it, and loose or glossy wrap can mean a resealed product. At €202.37 it is worth asking for photos of every side and buying from sellers with a long, positive history, since resealed and weighed product is common. Some bundles are sold as loose packs in a bag, so check the photos show the factory-wrapped bundle. Check whether delivery from ebay.co.uk adds import fees, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
