Roaring Skies Booster Box guide

What's inside the Roaring Skies Booster Box

Each Roaring Skies Booster Box is a factory-sealed display of 36 sealed booster packs, every one of them from Roaring Skies.

About Roaring Skies

Known for Mega Rayquaza-EX and Shaymin-EX, one of the strongest cards of its time. Released on 6 May 2015, it belongs to the Black & White and XY era. 11 years on, most of its sealed stock has long been opened, and unopened product mostly changes hands between collectors.

Roaring Skies has 108 cards in its main numbering, plus 4 secret rares numbered beyond it.

The cards a Roaring Skies Booster Box can hold

The Roaring Skies cards collectors most want to pull are M Rayquaza-EX and Shaymin-EX. With 36 packs, a box gives you the most chances at them of any sealed product, though no box is guaranteed to hold any one card.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 2 Secret Rares, 22 Ultra Rares and 29 Rares. See every Roaring Skies card price for what each is worth.

Roaring Skies Booster Box price today

Asking prices are what sellers hope to get, not what booster boxes actually sell for, so treat the cheapest listing as the benchmark for a fair deal.

Price per pack

At the typical price, each of the 36 packs in a Roaring Skies Booster Box works out at €197.81, compared with €11.34 in a Roaring Skies Elite Trainer Box and €154.18 in a Roaring Skies Booster Pack. That makes it the most expensive way to buy Roaring Skies packs right now.

Roaring Skies Booster Box as an investment

After 11 years, sealed Roaring Skies booster boxes rarely come up, and prices tend to rise as boxes are opened and supply shrinks. Booster boxes are the sealed product most collectors hold long term, as they are easy to store and to value. Much of its sealed value rests on demand for M Rayquaza-EX and Shaymin-EX: if those cards rise, unopened product usually follows.

Past prices do not guarantee future ones, and this is not financial advice. Read should you buy sealed Pokémon products? for the pros and cons.

Before you buy

Check the shrink wrap: factory wrap on booster boxes has neat seams, often with Pokémon logos printed on it, and loose or glossy wrap can mean a resealed product. At €7,121 it is worth asking for photos of every side and buying from sellers with a long, positive history, since resealed and weighed product is common. A full box gives better odds than loose packs, and its value as a sealed item is easier to judge (how to value a sealed booster box). Check whether delivery from ebay.com adds import fees, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
