Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box

Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box guide

What's inside the Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box

Inside a sealed Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box you get 9 booster packs plus card sleeves, energy cards, dice, condition markers and a storage box. The packs are all Paradox Rift.

Pokémon Center exclusive ETBs come with extra packs and a stamped promo and sell for more, so they are left out of the prices here.

About Paradox Rift

Built around the Ancient and Future Paradox Pokémon, with Roaring Moon ex and Iron Valiant ex. Released on 3 November 2023, it belongs to the Scarlet & Violet era. Shops have mostly moved on to newer sets, so sealed stock now comes mainly from resellers.

Paradox Rift has 182 cards in its main numbering, plus 84 secret rares numbered beyond it.

Chase cards to look for

The Paradox Rift cards collectors most want to pull are Roaring Moon ex and Iron Valiant ex. 9 packs is a modest number of tries, so most ETBs are bought to collect or keep sealed rather than to chase one card.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 7 Hyper Rares, 15 Special Illustration Rares and 34 Illustration Rares. See every Paradox Rift card price for what each is worth.

Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box as an investment

Paradox Rift is out of its main print run, the stage where sealed prices often start to move, but modern sets are printed in large numbers and can be reprinted. ETBs are popular to keep sealed because of their box art, but they take more space than they hold in packs. Much of its sealed value rests on demand for Roaring Moon ex and Iron Valiant ex: if those cards rise, unopened product usually follows.

Past prices do not guarantee future ones, and this is not financial advice. Read should you buy sealed Pokémon products? for the pros and cons.

Before you buy

Check the shrink wrap: factory wrap on elite trainer boxes has neat seams, often with Pokémon logos printed on it, and loose or glossy wrap can mean a resealed product. At €185.00 it is worth asking for photos of every side and buying from sellers with a long, positive history, since resealed and weighed product is common. Check the listing photos show the ETB itself and not only the packs, and that it is the standard version rather than a Pokémon Center one if you are comparing prices. Check whether delivery from ebay.de adds import fees, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
