Paldea Evolved Booster Box guide

What's inside the Paldea Evolved Booster Box

A sealed Paldea Evolved Booster Box holds 36 sealed booster packs from Paldea Evolved, the full display a shop would open to sell packs one by one.

About Paldea Evolved

The second Scarlet & Violet set, known for the Iono Special Illustration Rare and the Magikarp Illustration Rare. Released on 9 June 2023, it belongs to the Scarlet & Violet era. It is past its main print window, so sealed stock is getting harder to find at retail.

Paldea Evolved has 193 cards in its main numbering, plus 86 secret rares numbered beyond it.

Chase cards to look for

The Paldea Evolved cards collectors most want to pull are Iono and Magikarp. With 36 packs, a box gives you the most chances at them of any sealed product, though no box is guaranteed to hold any one card.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 9 Hyper Rares, 15 Special Illustration Rares and 36 Illustration Rares. Prices for every card are on the Paldea Evolved set page.

That makes it the cheapest way to buy Paldea Evolved packs sealed right now.

Is the Paldea Evolved Booster Box a good investment?

Paldea Evolved is out of its main print run, the stage where sealed prices often start to move, but modern sets are printed in large numbers and can be reprinted. Booster boxes are the sealed product most collectors hold long term, as they are easy to store and to value. Watch the price of Iono, the set's headline card, since sealed Paldea Evolved tends to move with it.

Only buy a Paldea Evolved Booster Box to hold if you are happy to keep it either way, as prices can fall too. This is not financial advice; see should you buy sealed Pokémon products?

Before you buy

Look closely at the wrapping in the photos. Factory wrap on booster boxes has neat seams, often with Pokémon logos printed on it; baggy, shiny or uneven wrap is a common sign of a reseal. For a Paldea Evolved Booster Box at around €482.10, ask the seller for photos of all sides and stick to accounts with plenty of positive feedback. A full box gives better odds than loose packs, and its value as a sealed item is easier to judge (how to value a sealed booster box). Always compare totals with delivery included, and keep sealed product away from sunlight, heat and damp once it arrives.
