Mega Evolution Booster Box guide

What's inside the Mega Evolution Booster Box

Each Mega Evolution Booster Box is a factory-sealed display of 36 sealed booster packs, every one of them from Mega Evolution.

About Mega Evolution

Opened the Mega Evolution series, bringing Mega Evolution back as Mega Pokémon ex. Released on 26 September 2025, it belongs to the Scarlet & Violet era. It is still a current set, so shops keep restocking it and prices are set by retail supply.

Mega Evolution has 132 cards in its main numbering, plus 56 secret rares numbered beyond it.

What collectors open Mega Evolution for

The Mega Evolution cards collectors most want to pull are Mega Lucario ex, Mega Gardevoir ex, Wally's Compassion, Lt. Surge's Bargain and Lillie's Determination. With 36 packs, a box gives you the most chances at them of any sealed product, though no box is guaranteed to hold any one card.

Our catalogue lists the set's rarest tiers as 2 Mega Hyper Rares, 10 Special Illustration Rares and 22 Illustration Rares. See every Mega Evolution card price for what each is worth.

Mega Evolution Booster Box as an investment

Modern sealed product is printed in large numbers and is often reprinted, so Mega Evolution booster boxes can stay flat or fall for years before supply dries up. Booster boxes are the sealed product most collectors hold long term, as they are easy to store and to value. Much of its sealed value rests on demand for Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex: if those cards rise, unopened product usually follows.

Past prices do not guarantee future ones, and this is not financial advice. Read should you buy sealed Pokémon products? for the pros and cons.

Before you buy

Check the shrink wrap: factory wrap on booster boxes has neat seams, often with Pokémon logos printed on it, and loose or glossy wrap can mean a resealed product. At €301.28 it is worth asking for photos of every side and buying from sellers with a long, positive history, since resealed and weighed product is common. A full box gives better odds than loose packs, and its value as a sealed item is easier to judge (how to value a sealed booster box). Check whether delivery from ebay.com adds import fees, and store sealed product flat, out of sunlight and away from damp.
